Commercial & Estimating Manager

Description

Due to further expansion within the business, Ample Power are seeking an experienced full time Commercial & Estimating Manager to lead the Commercial Function delivering a turnover of £15m per year. Reporting to the Business Director, you will lead teams to develop projects throughout the project lifecycle from estimating, procurement, delivery and handover being accountable for cost control, management of risk and opportunity and reporting. There will be a requirement to support wider business development and improvement as part of this leadership role.

You will be based in Telford covering projects nationwide.

Qualifications required:
- Degree or upper-class qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Desirable to be a member of RICS.

Minimum experience required:
• 7 years’ experience
• Previous experience on similar sized projects working for a main contractor delivering civils, buildings or infrastructure
• Detailed knowledge of commercial processes
• Working within governance frameworks
• Procurement of construction related subcontract packages

Project Manager

Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic full time Project Manager (Construction), based in Telford but covering projects nationwide, to lead a number of upcoming projects ranging between £500k – £5m. Reporting to the Business Director, you will lead teams to develop projects throughout the project lifecycle ensuring safety, compliance with regulations and industry standards. There will be a requirement to support wider business development and improvement as part of this leadership role.

Qualifications:
• Degree or upper-class qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Related Discipline
• CSCS / IOSH
• Desirable to be a member of a chartered body ICE / CIOB

Experience: Minimum:
• 5 years’ experience
• Previous experience on similar sized projects working for a main contractor delivering civils, buildings or infrastructure
• Detailed knowledge of construction design and construction methods
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing subcontractors and direct delivery
